WiseType is an independent type-focused studio offering retail and custom fonts, as well as logo, graphic design and consultation and services. Founded by Jacob Wise in 2019, it initially began as a means to distribute his own typefaces and has since evolved into a small foundry which now collaborates with a variety of designer across disciplines to publish carefully curated projects.

The studio remains closely tied to graphic design, shaped by Jacob’s background in design for underground music and broader cultural contexts. Ideas and craft are central to the foundry’s output – the antithesis of rapid production and the championing of craft, quality, and human effort. The studio is based in Rotterdam NL, just a stone's throw from Central Station.
